Basic Familiarization of Underground Petroleum Storage and Distribution Systems
GTEC in coordination with the Society of Tank & Equipment Professionals (STEP) has produced an online course for new employees in the Petroleum industry. This course is entitled: Basic Familiarization of Underground Petroleum Storage and Distribution Systems and is available online at the STEP website: www.steponline.org . This course is suitable for new employees at petroleum equipment installation/sales companies, convenience store operators, state regulators, fleet managers, service stations, etc. A significant discount can be obtained by becoming a member of STEP.
Erosion Control Certification Training
GTEC has an arrangement with the Georgia Erosion & Sedimentation Training Institute for discounted Erosion Control Certification Training that is now required as of Jan 1, 2007 for anyone conducting soil disturbance activities at construction sites in the state of Georgia (some exclusions apply). The normal fee is $150. GTEC Member Fee is $115. This training is conducted in various cities throughout the state. More info can be found at http://www.gaswcc.org/ .
